Egyptian Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Nabila Makram said that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi seeks to provide a better standard of living for the Egyptians.
She made the remarks during her participation in the second conference of Egyptian entities abroad that kicked off on Sunday.
Around 33 Egyptian entities from 18 world countries are taking part in the event.
The conference is meant to promote the political leadership’s vision and promote the national ‘Decent Life Initiative’ for developing Egypt’s countryside.
The emigration minister shed light on the key role that could be played by Egyptian entities abroad in defending the national security, especially in light of the information, economic, tourism and media wars experienced by the country.
She expressed appreciation of Egyptian entities abroad, as they proved their loyalty to the nation through contributing to underway development projects, citing an initiative titled “Support Stuck Egyptians”, which clearly demonstrated the national role played by Egyptians abroad.
She called for backing the Decent Life “Hayat Karima” initiative, which aims to improve the standards of living, infrastructure, and services within lesser developed governorates, targeting 58 percent of Egypt’s 102 million population who live in 4,658 villages across the country.
