CAIRO – Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Soha Gendy has discussed with Founder and Executive Director of children’s charity Coptic Orphans Nermien Riad and its Director of Strategic Engagement Maged Ragaie ways and mechanisms for joint cooperation.
During their meeting on Friday, Gendy said she followed up the Egyptian expats’ interest in the charity’s efforts and activities.
The minister pointed out to the measures taken by several ministries and authorities over the past period to provide special advantages for Egyptians abroad, including in the fields of housing, aviation, investment, finance and education.
She highlighted the initiatives launched by her ministry for Egyptians living abroad such as “Speak Arabic”. She also talked about the “Survival Boats” presidential initiative meant to combat illegal migration.
Meanwhile, the two officials praised the emigration minister’s significant role and efforts to provide care for Egyptian communities around the world.
