Egypt’s Minister of Emigration & Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram said the number of individuals and entities who registered to partake in the third conference of Egyptian entities abroad, slated for Aug. 14 reached 335 Egyptians representing 53 Egyptian entities from 37 countries around the world.
In statements Sunday, the minister said the political leadership attaches prior importance to Egyptians living abroad, stressing the State’s keenness on organizing the third conference of Egyptian entities abroad, with a view to reviewing cooperation and linking expatriates to their homeland to unite efforts in support of Egyptians abroad.
According to the minister, all efforts are meant to post Egyptians living oversees on development efforts in Egypt and listen to their proposals and answer their inquiries.
She underlined the importance of the Egyptian communities abroad; being the frontline in defending and garnering support for Egyptian issues.
Makram further called on all Egyptian communities abroad to enroll in the third conference of Egyptian entities abroad.
The event is expected to witness expanded discussion panels in presence of Egyptian ministerial and official representatives to increase trade exchange between Egypt and the various world countries and promote tourism, as well as the role of soft power to implement the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The conference is scheduled to discuss different topics, including: the cultural role and its importance for Egyptians abroad, supporting talented people, together with cultural activities and initiatives, including the presidential initiative “Speak Arabic”.
