CAIRO – The Manpower Ministry is in the process of preparing an electronic system in coordination with Kuwaiti Embassy in Cairo to finalise issuing visas for Egyptians seeking to work in Kuwait, affirmed Minister Hassan Shehata.
The minister made the remarks during his meeting with Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt and Kuwait’s permanent envoy to the Arab League Ghanem al Ghanem.
The meeting tackled ways of boosting joint cooperation in order to resolve all the obstacles facing the Egyptians seeking to work in Kuwait and put new regulatory mechanisms in a bid to ease the transfer of workers between the two countries.
The new electronic system is meant to facilitate travel procedures for the citizens and provide all the necessary services in this respect, said the minister.
The Kuwaiti ambassador, for his part, thanked the minister for his warm reception and hospitality. He also congratulated Shehata on his new post as the manpower minister.
The ambassador also commended the efforts exerted by the Manpower Ministry in the interest of the Egyptian workers.
Hailing the close Egyptian-Kuwaiti ties, the ambassador also pointed out to the continued coordination and co-operation between Egypt and Kuwait in the various spheres.
