Egypt’s Electricity Minister Mahmoud Esmat underlined the importance of depending on new and renewable energy that will help secure national needs around the clock.
He also underscored the importance of using modern methods for monitoring loads.
In TV statements after taking oath before President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday, Esmat said the electricity ministry takes into account urban and industrial expansions.
He noted that the state takes all needed measures to end the electricity and oil problems as soon as possible.
He added that preparations are under way to receive energy generated from the nuclear Dabaa plant which will go into service soon.
