Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) Ahmed El-Sobky, and CEO and founder of Advanced Health Solutions (AHS) Mohammed Zamakhshary, probed co-operation between both sides.
Co-operation with AHS demonstrates the authority’s keenness on concluding partnerships with leading regional entities with extensive experience in developing health systems and raising efficiency of human resources, El-Sobky said.
This is likely to contribute to achieving the goals of Universal Health Insurance, as well as raising quality of services, he added.
The two sides agreed to implement a training programme to qualify executive leaders at the EHA’s health facilities, including directors of hospitals, centres and units, and their deputies, as well as operational managers, and heads of nursing sections, El-Sobky said.
The programme will be carried out in co-operation with the Saudi Health Training Centre, and with accreditation from international academic institutions such as Johns Hopkins, Health Leadership Academy, and Al Faisal University, to ensure the preparation of health leaders at the highest level of competence, he noted.
“We also discussed establishing an accredited Egyptian health training centre, to be affiliated to the EHA, similar to the Saudi Health Training Centre, which will function as a national platform for transferring knowledge and preparing cadres,” he further said.
The training content is developed and updated periodically by exchanging Egyptian and Saudi experiences, in accordance with international standards”
In addition, the meeting probed the launch of two integrated national platforms, the first for occupational health, and the second for school health in the governorated covered by the Universal Health Insurance.
This is part of the authority’s strategy to enhance population health, provided that work is done to expand the application of these initiatives at the republic level in coordination with the ministries, the EHA chief noted.
For his part, Zamakhshary voiced content over the co-operation with the Egyptian authority.
“We see this co-operation as a strategic opportunity to transfer and exchange expertise, especially as we have specific projects that are designed to achieve the goals of joint cooperation in accordance with high health standards,” a press release quoted Zamakhshary as saying.
AHS enjoys successful experiences in several countries, and is ready to provide innovative and integrated solutions that support the EHA’s efforts and contribute to building an Egyptian health model to be emulated regionally, he noted.
