CAIRO – Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said Egypt’s role and its balanced efforts are widely appreciated worldwide on all fronts.
In televised remarks Friday night, he said that the “One Ocean” summit, held in the northwestern port city of Brest in France, with the participation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is one in a series of summits that call for conserving the environment and offer an opportunity for probing the climate change issue.
Limited numbers of heads of state attended the summit, he said, adding French President Emmanuel Macron was keen to invite president Sisi to attend the summit.
That was attributed to Egypt’s big efforts to achieve transition to new energy in the past period, according to him.
Radiy said president Sisi’s visit to France was an important chance for meeting a number of leaders and heads of state, adding all meetings were very fruitful.
