Egypt’s Planning, irrigation ministers discuss investment projects of current fiscal year

CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Mohamed Abdel Ati had video-conference talks with Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala el Saeed on the progress realized so far in the 2021-2022 investment plan and proposals for his ministry’s plan for the 2022-2023 fiscal year.

The talks, according to MENA, tackled ongoing mega projects and new projects due to be implemented by the Irrigation and Water Resources Ministry in the 2021-2022 fiscal year.

The 2022-2023 fiscal year plan of the ministry is meant to proceed with the national canals project and transition to the new irrigation systems.

The talks also reviewed sanitation and sewage treatment projects, Egyptian shores protection, and cooperation projects with Nile basin countries.
