Egypt’s trade commissioner at Expo 2020 Dubai Ashraf Hamdy said Friday that Egypt’s pavilion at the exhibition had witnessed a number of official visits by high-profile figures over the past two weeks, noting that the pavilion is ranked among the top three at the expo in terms of attracting official delegations and public figures.
Among the visits were those made by prominent cardiac surgeon Dr. Magdi Yacoub, Chairman of the UAE’s Alserkal Group Nasser bin Abdul Latif, Saudi Minister of Health Fahad Al Jalajel, and Egyptian Paralympian Shaimaa Samy, the Middle East News Agency said.
Hamdy said the pavilion showcased activities of the Egyptian-UAE business forum, which was held late January on the sidelines of the participation of Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce in the Russian-Arab Business Forum.
The Egyptian pavilion also hosted a meeting between officials of the Export Council for Medical Industries and a number of representatives of companies from Argentina, Australia, Russia and Mexico, he added.
