CAIRO – Egypt’s Mufti Shawqi Allam asserted on Tuesday that birth of prophets is a message of mercy from God to humanity.
This came during Allam’s visit to the premises of The Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abbasiya to offer his greetings to Pope Tawadros II on the occasion of Xmas.
Allam noted that the Egyptian experiment in realizing co-existence and maintaining the full citizenship principles have been vividly clear in all occasions as Egyptians are keen on participation.
He added that extremist and terrorist groups have recurrently been trying to incite sedition among Egyptians, but their attempts doomed to failure.
