NEW YORK – Egyptian Planning Minister Hala El Saeed reviewed the presidential initiative of Decent Life and its role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Saeed is representing Egypt during a session on the sidelines of the 2022 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), held in New York.
She said Egypt is keen on sharing its successful experience with other countries related to achieving the SDGs, noting Egypt’s 2030 Vision is being updated to deal with any challenges.
The minister pointed to the launch of the second phase of the Decent Life initiative, which aims to improve the living conditions of 58% of Egypt’s population, who live in the countryside.
Egypt is fully ready to exchange best practices and develop skills in planning, monitoring and evaluating the SDGs, stressing the country’s belief that rebuilding better requires more commitment to cooperation and partnerships, she further said.
