CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi has visited the pavilion of Raytheon Saudi Arabia company on the first day of Saudi Arabia’s first World Defense Show.
Held in Riyadh from March 6 to 9, the event is organised by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) under the auspices of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Morsi was introduced to exhibits of the Riyadh-based company and the state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies in various defense industries.
The minister emphasised the strength of Egypt-Saudi Arabia historic relations, noting that co-operation between both countries is solid.
He also pointed out to co-operation between military production companies from the two sides.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Saudi company said they are looking forward to opening up new prospects for co-operation between Raytheon Saudi Arabia and Egypt’s military production companies.
Raytheon Saudi Arabia is a defense, aerospace and cybersecurity company that supports the kingdom’s military and civil defense requirements, as well as its long-term economic vision.
The company makes and integrates air and missile defense radars, precision weapons, command-and-control systems, and cybersecurity solutions. It also provides support services related to the use of those products.
Raytheon Saudi Arabia shall help the kingdom realise its Vision 2030 economic plan through partnerships with universities and professional training programmes to prepare a new generation of Saudis in the workforce.
The company helps create desirable jobs for Saudis, diversify the kingdom’s industrial base and expand economic opportunities for local businesses.
