CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Health Minister Dr Khaled Abdel Ghaffar asserted the necessity of raising the state of alert in all public hospitals, central and specialized clinics as well as intensifying the presence of medical teams during the days of Eidul Fitr celebrations to ensure the safety of citizens.

In a statement, Abdel Ghaffar said a plan including 2,151 ambulances will be deployed on all roads and axes and public squares in all governorates to ensure the safety of citizens during the feast, pressing the need for supporting hospitals with medical teams to deal with any emergencies.

He affirmed that the plan included reviewing all medicine and medical equipment in all hospitals to check on the availability of necessary quantities.
