Egypt’s health minister discusses boosting cooperation with US Hopkins University

CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Health Khaled Abdul Ghaffar held Friday a meeting with a delegation from the US Johns Hopkins University at the regional HQ of WHO in Cairo.

Held on the sidelines of the activities of the 69th regional committee for the WHO Eastern Mediterranean region, the meeting probed means of boosting the cooperation between Egypt and Johns Hopkins University in the field of enhancing the medical services provided at the state hospitals, Health Ministry’s spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.

Abdul Ghaffar conferred with the representatives of Johns Hopkins University the expansions in the green projects, in addition to developing the governmental hospitals, especially Agouza and Heliopolis medical facilities.

They also discussed the cooperation in the medical education and training services, consultations, hospital management, and identifying the needs for the medical equipment per population density, according to the international standards.
