CAIRO – The Egyptian Furniture Export Council said the sector’s exports from January to November 2021 increased by 7 per cent to US$236 million compared to US$219 million during the same period of 2020.
The monthly report issued by the Council on Monday indicated that the sector’s exports declined in November 2021 by 36 per cent to reach 17.260 million dollars against 26.852 million dollars in November 2020.
But the sector’s exports hit the record in March 2021 by recording 27.291 million dollars compared to 8.763 million dollars in March 2020.
The council said Saudi Arabia ranked the first in terms of countries importing Egyptian furniture during the 11 months of 2021, followed by the UAE, Iraq, Oman, Sudan, the US, Jordan, Libya and Italy.
