Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El Said reviewed during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday under Prime Minister Mofstafa Madbouli preliminary indicators of Egypt’s economy performance in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2021/2022.

During the meeting, Said said preliminary indicators affirmed that the performance of the Egyptian economy achieved a growth rate that amounted to 9.8 per cent during the first quarter of the current fiscal year, the highest annual quarter rate over two decades compared to 0.7 per cent in the first quarter of fiscal year 2020/2021, a matter that reaffirmed the good performance of the economy.
