Minister of Defence and Military Production and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher attended the final phase of a night-time live-fire missile exercise conducted by the Air Defence Forces, alongside Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa and senior military commanders.
Commander of Egypt’s Air Defence Forces Yasser al Toudi said that the force remains committed to maintaining the highest level of combat readiness and protecting Egypt’s airspace using advanced defence systems.
The exercise simulated hostile air attacks using multi-range missile systems, with participating units successfully engaging their assigned targets during the night-time operation. Earlier phases included day and night troop movements and field deployments under realistic operational conditions.
At the end of the exercise, Zaher conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s appreciation to Air Defence personnel, praising their professionalism and reaffirming the Armed Forces’ commitment to equipping the Air Defence Forces with advanced military systems to meet evolving operational requirements.
