Egypt’s agricultural exports reached nearly 6.5 million tons in 2022 for the first time ever at a total value of about $3.3 billion, said Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayed El Quseir.
The minister had received a report from Head of the Central Administration of Plant Quarantine (CAPQ) ِAhmed el Attar on the country’s agricultural exports during the period from January 1, 2022 and until December 31, 2022.
The country’s top agricultural exports were citruses, potatoes, fresh onions, grapes, fresh tomatoes, sweet potatoes, strawberries, guava, garlic, mango, watermelon, and pomegranates, according to the report.
