CAIRO – Egypt’s agricultural exports registered 4,491,099 tons from January 1 to August 24 this year, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayed El Quseir has announced.
This came in a report presented to the minister by Head of the Central Administration of Plant Quarantine (CAPQ) ِAhmed el Attar.
The country’s top agricultural exports were citruses, potatoes, fresh onions, grapes, fresh tomatoes, sweet potatoes, strawberries, fresh beans, guava, garlic, mango, and watermelon.
The exports included about 1.626 million tons of citruses, 831,696 tons of potatoes, 280,498 tons of onions and 141,483 tons of grapes, according to the CAPQ report.
