As part of efforts to diversify the activities of the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome — particularly in culture, arts, and music — and within the framework of bilateral co-operation, the Academy hosted the Italian military music band “Guardia di Finanza,” Egypt’s Ambassador to Italy, Bassam Rady, said on Thursday.
The band performed a variety of musical pieces, including Eastern compositions and the Egyptian national anthem in different arrangements.

The event was organised by the Academy’s director, Rania Yehia, who is committed to strengthening artistic and cultural ties with Italy by drawing on the rich soft power of both countries.
The Academy is keen on integrating its activities with selected Italian performances and others from different countries within the framework of a protocol for exchanging artistic programmes.
The concert was attended by members of the Italian community, foreign ambassadors, representatives of the diplomatic, artistic, and cultural circles, as well as several Italian generals led by General Carmelo Azara, Commander of the Italian Military Music Department.
