Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatiates Badr Abdelatty on Monday had phone contacts with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Ishaq Dar as part of ongoing coordination and consultation regarding regional developments.
The calls included an exchange of views on regional issues of mutual interest.
Discussions addressed developments in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need to implement the requirements of the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s plan, support the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, deploy an international stabilization force to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire, as well as the importance of paving the way for the early recovery and reconstruction phase and ensuring continued entry of humanitarian assistance into the Gaza Strip.
The ministers also underscored the importance of de-escalation in the region and prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions to resolve regional crises, in a manner that contributes to supporting regional security and stability, safeguarding the resources of the region’s peoples and sparing them risks and repercussions of any expansion of tension.
