CAIRO – Minister of Awqaf Osama el Azhari said that the Egyptian people are very much behind President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in totally rejecting the forced displacement of Palestinians from their homeland and liquidating the Palestinian cause.

He emphasized that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem (Al Quds) as its capital is the only way to resolve the crisis.

Azhari made the remarks on the sidelines of inaugurating Al Tahera Mosque in Saray Al Koba district, Cairo governorate, in the presence of several high-ranking officials, including Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs and Political Communication Mahmoud Fawzy, Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber along with a number of leaderships of the Awqaf Ministry and Muslim organizations.

While delivering a speech during the inauguration, the Minister of Awqaf expressed gratitude for President Sisi’s support for the development of mosques and Islamic institutions as well as historical sites in Egypt.

He also thanked the Tahya Masr Fund for its contributions to the development projects.

He highlighted the significance of renovating Al Tahera Mosque as a symbol of Egypt’s commitment to its religious heritage.

The minister also extended best Ramadan wishes for President Sisi, the Egyptian people and the Arab and Muslim nations.
