Egyptians all over Egypt rallied in large numbers on Friday in support of the Palestinian people, rejecting their displacement from their land and to authorise President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to protect Egypt’s national security and support the Palestinian cause with whatever decisions he deems appropriate.

The demonstrators chanted “With our soul and our blood, we sacrifice for you, Palestine,” and raised Egyptian and Palestinian flags and banners reading “Palestine”.

Some demonstrations in several governorates witnessed burning the Israeli flag and demanding the opening of the borders and the Rafah crossing to bring humanitarian aid into Gaza.

The demonstrations came after President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reiterated Egypt’s unshakable stance rejecting the relocation of residents of the Gaza Strip.

In a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Wednesday, President Sisi said:  “We reject all deliberate practices against civilians and call on the international community to intervene immediately to stop them.”

The President also vociferously condemned all military actions targeting innocent civilians, saying they represent a flagrant violation of all international laws.

He also expressed his deep sorrow over the Palestinian victims who fell in Israel’s brutal strike on a Hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Speaking at the press conference, President Sisi warned that if the current military operations continue, they will have grave security and humanitarian repercussions.

These operations will get out of control and help expand the scale of the conflict, Sisi made it clear, urging all international and regional parties to mobilize their efforts to immediately stop the current escalation.

President Sisi also stressed the necessity of establishing an independent Palestinian State based on the 4 June 1967 lines, with Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as its capital.
