KYIV – The Egyptian Embassy in Kyiv said Sunday that it had contacted authorities in countries adjacent to Ukraine to help nationals cross their borders and board flights back home.
Border guards in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Romania have received orders to allow Egyptian nationals wishing to flee the war in Ukraine into their territories before they can book flights to Egypt, according to a statement posted on the facebook page of the Embassy.
