CAIRO – Egyptian citizens began casting their votes on Friday morning at Egyptian embassies and consulates across several European countries as part of the 2025 Senate elections.

Polling stations at Egypt’s diplomatic missions in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and France opened promptly at 9:00 a.m. local time to receive Egyptian expatriates wishing to participate in this constitutional process.

Voting will continue at each location until 9:00 p.m. local time.

Egypt’s embassies and consulates abroad had finalized all technical and logistical preparations in advance of the elections, ensuring that each of the 136 polling stations, distributed in 117 countries, was equipped with the necessary resources to facilitate a smooth and efficient voting experience.
