VIENNA- The Egyptian community in Austria organized a demonstration in front of the headquarters of the Egyptian embassy here in support of the political leadership’s stance toward the war on Gaza.

The protesters also expressed their rejection of any attempts to attack Egyptian embassies abroad.

Raising Egypt’s flags and chanting slogans in support of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the protesters reiterated their country’s solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

They stressed that Rafah border terminal is open and has not been closed, stressing that Egypt will not abandon the Palestinian people, and will remain, as it has been throughout history, a supporter of the Palestinian cause.

They condemned attempts by some anti-Egypt groups to undermine the Egyptian leadership, government and people in a bid to jeopardies stability in the country.

Islamic and Christian religious leaders, officials from the Egyptian Club, the Union of Egyptians, and a number of associations representing the Egyptian community in Austria took part in the demonstration.
