Egypt’s Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Hano Sunday wrapped up his official visit to the Russian city of Saint Petersburg, where he met his Russian counterpart for talks on promoting cultural and digital cooperation between the two countries.
The talks between the Egyptian and Russian culture ministers took up exchanging know-how in the spheres of opera, ballet and art museums.
The two sides exchanged souvenirs, with minister Hano eager to present gifts reflecting the iconic Egyptian civilization, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Culture on Sunday.
During his Saint Petersburg, Hano took part in the ninth BRICS Culture Ministers Meeting and the 10th Saint Petersburg International United Cultures Forum.
The BRICS Culture Minister’s Meeting tackled ways of boosting culture cooperation among Member States along with exchanging expertise in cultural heritage preserving and supporting cultural creativity.
