RAFAH, Egypt – An Egyptian parliamentary delegation arrived at Rafah border crossing Friday afternoon in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and to offer large quantities of required foodstuff and medical aid.
The 27-member delegation was received by North Sinai Governor Mohamed Abdel Fadil Shousha, as well as MPs and Senators, who represent the governorate at the two chambers of parliament.
MP Alaa Abed said that the parties of Mostaqbal Watan, Homat Watan and the Republican People, as well as the Coordination Committee of Parties’ Youth Leaders and Politicians (CPYP) stand in full support with the Palestinian people.
In this regard, Abed praised the initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, designating a sum of dlrs 500 million for the reconstruction of Gaza.
