The Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association (EABA) attend the Nigerian-Egyptian Association for Culture and Economy signed this week a protocol of cooperation to boost business ties between the two countries.
The protocol was signed by head of the EABA Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi and head of the Nigerian association businessman Mahmoud Ahmed at the Nigerian Embassy in Cairo. Attending the signing ceremony were Nigerian and Ghanian ambassadors in Cairo.
“The protocol seeks to boost ties between the Egyptian and Nigerian private sectors in the light of the new approach of the Egyptian leadership towards the African continent,” El-Sharkawy told The Egyptian Gazette after the signing of the agreement.
He added that Egypt is now paying due attention to its economic, military, political and cultural relations with Africa countries and is carrying out several projects to enhance these ties.
The Nigerian ambassador in Cairo also praised relations between Egypt and Nigeria, adding that the Egyptian business community in Nigeria has a strong presence that confirms the depth of ties between the two countries.
