CAIRO – Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat and Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk asserted the continued coordination and joint efforts among the relevant ministries and entities to promote Egyptian civilization in coincidence with the historic opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
In a statement on Saturday, the ministers noted that the collaboration includes the issuance of commemorative gold and silver coins and postage stamps that embody the grandeur of this unique cultural landmark.
They emphasized Egypt’s keenness to preserve national identity, immortalize major historic moments and showcase the beauty and uniqueness of its heritage to the world.

Fathy highlighted that these souvenirs reflect Egypt’s dedication to documenting its major national milestones and etching the Egyptian culture, art and heritage in public consciousness.
Meanwhile, Talaat stressed the ministry’s keenness on documenting this historic occasion through commemorative stamps marking the museum’s inauguration.
For his part, Kouchouk expressed his pride in the creativity of Egyptian artisans in designing and producing the commemorative coins for the Grand Egyptian Museum.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, through the National Post Authority, issued a special collection of commemorative stamps highlighting the museum’s beauty and rich artifacts.
