Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker hailed as “strategic” Cairo’s relationship with the World Bank, which he said enhances the State’s tendency to shift to a green economy, and promotes the private sector’s engagement in the country’s development process.
He also pointed out to the two sides’ cooperation in the renewable energy sector, most notably in setting up Benban Solar Park in Aswan.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Molla termed as ‘fruitful’ cooperation between Egypt and the World Bank, which he said contributes to supporting areas of sustainable development in various fields, especially in the petroleum and energy sectors.
Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali el Moselhi commended strategic relations between the Egyptian government and the World Bank Group, describing the global development lender as one of the largest multilateral development partners.
Minister of Education and Technical Education Tareq Shawqi said Egypt’s education system has been reformed since 2016 in cooperation with the World Bank to ensure that it complies with relevant international standards.
