Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafe Madbouli and his Iraqi counterpart Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani held an expanded session of talks in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Thursday.
The session is held as part of the third session of the Egyptian-Iraqi Joint Higher Committee activities.
Madbouli arrived earlier in the day at Baghdad International Airport, leading Egypt’s delegation to the meetings of the Egyptian-Iraqi Joint Higher Committee.
The premier is accompanied by a number of ministers and officials.
Upon his arrival, Madbouli was received by Iraqi Minister of Trade Atheer Dawood al Gheriri and Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq Ahmed Samir.
The Egyptian and Iraqi premiers are expected to preside over an economic forum to be attended by a large number of businessmen of the two countries to mull possible cooperation opportunities in the trade and investment domains.
