CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan el-Khatib, departed from Cairo on Monday to attend the 40th session of the Council of Trade Ministers of the Standing Committee for Commercial and Economic Cooperation (COMCEC) under the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Turkey.
During his visit, Minister el-Khatib will engage in extensive discussions with senior officials, business leaders, and representatives from various Turkish business associations and companies. The focus will be on strengthening trade and investment ties between Egypt and Turkey, while also showcasing the promising investment opportunities available in Egypt.
The discussions will highlight the current financial, monetary, and trade policies implemented by the Egyptian government to facilitate investments and streamline the export-import processes. These initiatives are aimed at attracting increased Turkish investments into the Egyptian market and boosting bilateral trade.
In addition to the main meetings, el-Khatib will hold discussions with Omar Polat, the Turkish Minister of Trade, along with other trade ministers from participating countries. There will also be a significant meeting with the chairman and members of the Turkish side of the joint business council.
Furthermore, the Minister will attend several meetings organized by the Egyptian Commercial Office in Turkey, engaging with Turkish business federations and leading industrial companies.
