CAIRO – The Egyptian Cabinet’s media center on Saturday denied news reports about stopping payment of incentives and bonuses for teachers in new education system.

The center said in a statement that it had communicated with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, which refuted the news as “groundless.”

The ministry denied stopping the payment of the incentives to the teachers.

Teachers will receive all their financial dues regularly and normally as per laws and regulations applied in this regard, the ministry confirmed.

The move is meant to protect rights and interests of all employees in education, according to it.

The center urged all mass media and news outlets to be accurate and objective in publishing reports and reaching out to the bodies concerned to spread real facts on the ground in order not to stir public confusion nationwide.
