The joint Egyptian-French naval exercise “Cleopatra 2025” kicked off in French territorial waters with the participation of units from the Egyptian and French navies.
The exercise, to run for several days, comes as part of efforts to support strong bilateral relations and enhance cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the armed forces of Egypt and France.
It includes a series of theoretical and practical lectures aiming at unifying concepts of joint operations, planning and managing combined naval activities, and training to counter non-traditional maritime threats in a way that helps hone skills and deepen experience among participating forces.
The drill is part of joint training between the Egyptian Armed Forces and its counterparts in sisterly and friendly nations to strengthen military cooperation in various fields.
