The Egyptian Food Bank, the first development institution in Egypt specialised in providing healthy food and a safe life for vulnerable groups, announced on Tuesday the launch of its “Sacrifice, Feed, Honour” campaign.
The move is part of the Food Bank’s efforts to strengthen the values of solidarity and social cohesion during the upcoming Eid al-Adha season.
Through its integrated distribution system, the bank continues to deliver food support to underprivileged families with high efficiency, ensuring that sacrificial meat reaches beneficiaries in a manner that reflects the institution’s humanitarian and developmental mission of promoting food security and supporting the most vulnerable groups.
The campaign highlights the Egyptian Food Bank’s pioneering role as the first organisation to introduce the sacrificial donation certificate (“Sukuk Al-Adahi”) concept in Egypt in 2006, while continuing to develop innovative and sustainable seasonal food assistance programmes for Eid Al-Adha 2026.
The bank is implementing two main initiatives during the season — the “Adahi Programme” and the “Eid Feast Food Carton” campaign — aimed at delivering food assistance to the largest possible number of families in need through an organised and effective distribution mechanism, further reinforcing the values of social solidarity and expanding the campaign’s humanitarian impact during the holiday period.
Mohsen Sarhan, CEO of the Egyptian Food Bank, said: “The ‘Sacrifice, Feed, Honour’ campaign represents a model of development and innovation in implementing the sacrificial meat distribution system for 2026, ensuring that meat reaches all eligible beneficiaries across Egypt’s governorates, including remote and underserved areas.”
