Egyptian expats are setting the most shining examples in supporting their motherland, State Minister of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Nabila Makram said Saturday.
In a statement released by her ministry, Makram applauded the great support offered by the “Good Youth for Development Foundation,” an Egyptian charity institution in Kuwait, to some villages covered by the “Decent Life” project in Assiut and Sohag, Upper Egypt.
This support is part of Egyptian expats’ contributions to the presidential rural development initiative, pursuant to the ministry’s “Aslak Tayeb” (Your Good Origin) initiative to support the presidential initiative which aims at improving the Egyptian countryside, Makram pointed out.
Believing in Egyptian expats’ keenness on participating in all national initiatives, the ministry has launched the “Aslak Tayeb” initiative to provide all forms of assistance to those wishing to offer support to Egyptian villages most in need, Makram added.
The foundation has launched two food aid convoys to distribute food bags to as many as 200 needy households in Assiut and 100 households in Sohag.
