Egyptian Ambassador to Chad Osama el Hady Wednesday handed over an invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Chairman of the Transitional Military Council of the Republic of Chad Mohamed Idriss Deby to participate in the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the UN Framework Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC), slated for November in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh.
The Foreign Ministry said that the meeting discussed vistas of bilateral ties between the two countries.
Deby said he is proud of the level of ties binding the two countries, paying tribute to the hosting by Egypt of the climate change conference, particularly that it will be held at a time when the African continent is negatively affected by the bad impacts of climate changes, including desertification, which harms agricultural production, food security and environmental balance in different countries in the continent.
