Egyptian cabinet denies news about 4 school periods/day

The Egyptian cabinet’s media center has dismissed as baseless news about approving four school periods per day to reduce class capacity during the current academic year.
The media center, in a statement Friday, said it had contacted the Education Ministry to verify the news, adding that it was assured that no schools had been permitted to provide four periods per day.
This would constitute a violation to Ministry instructions, the media center noted.
The media center urged all media outlets and visitors of social media networking sites to verify any information from bodies concerned.
