CAIRO – Egyptian Ambassador to Singapore Ahmed Mostafa discussed with Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore Seah Kian Peng ways of supporting parliamentary relations between the two countries, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Peng asked the Egyptian diplomat to convey his greetings to Speaker of the House of Parliament Hanafi Gebali, added the ministry.
He said his country is taking pride with its relations with Egypt, which was among the first world countries to recogniسe independence of Singapore in 1965 and establishment of complete diplomatic ties with it, it said.
Egypt and Singapore have been seeking to fully and actively coordinate on different forums worldwide, according to it.
The ministry noted that the speaker of the Parliament of Singapore said he is ready for fostering bridges of communication and cooperation with the Egyptian parliament.
