In a move that reflects the success of Egypt’s national strategy—under the leadership of Abdel Fattah El-Sisi—to support domestic industry and strengthen openness to African markets, Royal Palace Group, founded by Engineer Abdelrahman Habib, welcomed a high-level delegation of business leaders from Ghana and the United Arab Emirates at its manufacturing headquarters in the Anshas Industrial Zone.
The visit comes as part of activating a Memorandum of Understanding and strategic partnership signed between Royal Palace Group and A.M International Group, chaired by Major General Hisham Ahmed Abdelghaffar Kortam. The partnership aims to open new avenues for industrial and commercial cooperation between Egypt and West African countries through the establishment of a major joint industrial entity in Egypt and Ghana under the name “Royal Palace A.M International Group.”

During the visit, the delegation conducted an extensive tour of the group’s factories, where they reviewed the latest production lines and technologies used in the manufacturing of furniture, mattresses, and foam. This aligns with the group’s ambitious expansion strategy, which includes both vertical and horizontal growth at its Anshas industrial base, in addition to establishing a fully integrated industrial complex spanning 100 feddans at Kilometre 56 on the Alexandria–Cairo Desert Road.

This alliance represents a practical model of Egypt’s vision to deepen local manufacturing and increase exports. The two sides agreed to boost export volumes to West African countries—particularly Ghana—by leveraging the commercial infrastructure of A.M International Group, which operates four major retail centers specializing in furniture, mattresses, and carpets.
The cooperation also includes importing timber from Ghana to Egypt for reprocessing according to the highest quality standards and internationally competitive Egyptian designs, followed by re-export to African and global markets in line with both African and international consumer preferences. This approach represents a fully integrated industrial value chain.

As part of the international expansion strategy, both parties also agreed to replicate Royal Palace Group’s successful model in Ghana through the establishment of a new industrial complex. The project will rely on a combination of skilled Egyptian technical labour and Ghanaian workforce, with a focus on exporting to member states of the ECOWAS, which allows duty-free market access—thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products across African markets.

Discussions also addressed expansion into the Russian market, capitalising on A.M International Group’s presence there, with the aim of increasing exports and expanding the global reach of Egyptian products.
Attendees representing the Ghanaian and international side included:
Major General Hisham Ahmed Abdelghaffar Kortam, Dr. Essam Ahmed Abdelghaffar Kortam, and Major General Mohamed Ahmed Abdelghaffar Kortam – Chairmen of A.M International Group
Dr.. George Bonsu – Leading furniture industry figure in Ghana and partner of A.M International Ghana
