Egyptian actor Zaki Fatin Abdel Wahab passed away at the age of 61 years old after long struggle with brain tumor.
The late actor had announced that he had lung cancer in 2019 and had recovered from the disease, and then announced in 2021 that he had a new brain tumor.
He was born on February 18 in 1961 to a prominent artistic family.
His father was director Zaki Fatin Abdel Wahab and his mother was the late legendary singer Laila Mourad.
He learned directing at the Higher Institute of Cinema.
He began his artistic career as an assistant director with renowned directors such as Ali Badrakhan, Samir Seif and Youssef Chahine.
He directed his first and last movie “Romantica” in 1996.
Abdel Wahab left film directing to act in television series, such as Ahl Cairo, Citizen X, The Second Wife, Temporary Name and Adam’s Apple.
