CAPE TOWN – The African Airlines Association (AFRAA) announced on Tuesday that EgyptAir is on a list of best ten aviation companies in Africa as far as numbers of passengers are concerned.
AFRAA said in a report, carried by “Business Africa” platform that the aviation industry saw a tangible boom in 2024 and managed to overcome the bad impacts of the pandemic.
African airlines have mainly contributed to restoring this strong and vital industry, according to the report.
EgyptAir, a Star Alliance Member, will host the 56th General Assembly of the African Airlines Association from November 17 to 19, 2024.
The measure is meant to highlight Egypt’s leading role in the African aviation sector.
The event is expected to attract around 400 prominent figures from the global civil aviation industry, including heads of African airlines and representatives from international organizations such as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
