Egyptair Maintenance and Engineering Co. has inaugurated an aircraft service center at Kotoka International Airport in Accra, the capital of Ghana, Chairman of the Holding Company for EgyptAir, Egypt’s state-owned national carrier, pilot Amr Abu El-Enin said.
In an initial step, the new center will offer daily maintenance services to EgyptAir planes, as well as those of Qatar Airways that fly to Accra. It will work on targeting more clients.
For his part, Chairman and CEO of Egyptair Maintenance and Engineering Engineer Yehia Zakaria said that the Accra service point is also considered a step for boosting co-operation with the Qatar Airways.
The company is seeking to broaden its presence in the Middle East and Africa through a host of technical maintenance centers to its clients, Zakaria noted.
