Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Amr Abo el Enein congratulated Jeffrey Goh, the CEO of Star Alliance, for being named Airline Alliance of the Year at the Air Transport Awards for the fourth year in a row.
Star Alliance is the world’s largest airline alliance, as it comprises 26 air companies, including EgyptAir.
In a statement released by EgyptAir on Sunday, Abo el Enein said this award demonstrates the great confidence of passengers in the alliance’s airlines.
It also reflects the air companies’ commitment to abiding by all air international standards and implementing the alliance’s requirements at fullest, despite the significant impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the aviation industry, he added.
On his part, Goh said the repeat winning of this prestigious award is testament to the innovative spirit and shared commitment by the alliance’s team work to improving the customers’ experience.
A panel of aviation industry experts selected Star Alliance in recognition of its exceptional contribution to the future of air travel in a ceremony held on February 10 in Ekali, Greece.
