EgyptAir decided on Wednesday to cancel its flight from Cairo to Heathrow Airport scheduled for Thursday upon instructions from the UK authorities to decrease the number of daily flights as they struggle to cope with the rebound in air travel.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, EgyptAir said two flights No. MS779 and No. MS780 scheduled for Thursday and heading for Heathrow Airport will be cancelled as the UK airport decided to decrease the capacity of daily flights handled at the airport.
EgyptAir statement called on its customers who booked tickets on such flights to review their bookings through contacting EgyptAir call center on 1717 or visiting its website Egyptair.com or heading for the nearest ticket offices affiliated to the Egyptian national carrier.
The UK cap on passenger numbers will be in place until September 11.
