Egypt has warned the dangers of a possible Israeli military operation on the Palestinian Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
in a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry Monday, Egypt stressed that such an escalation poses serious humanitarian dangers to more than a million Palestinians in Rafah.
Egypt called on Israel to exercise the utmost restraint and avoid further escalation at this extremely sensitive time in ceasefire negotiations, and to spare the blood of Palestinian civilians who have been subjected to an unprecedented humanitarian disaster under the Gaza war.
Egypt said it continues its constant communication with all sides to keep the situation from deteriorating or spiraling out of control.
