Egypt and Yemen are seeking to bolster co-operation in development and improving the capabilities of Yemeni human resources in a host of sectors.
Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala el-Saeed on Tuesday held talks in Cairo with Yemeni Minister of Planning and International Co-operationWaed Abdullah Badheeb, according to a statement in Cairo.
El-Saeed highlighted the deep-rooted and strategic bilateral ties, referring to the current visit by Yemen’s Prime MinisterMaeenAbdulmalik Saeedand an accompanying delegation to Cairo to discuss bilateral co-operation as well as the premier’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi last July.
She said that Egypt is fully ready to provide all forms of support to Yemeni leadership and people.
El-Saeed referred to the comprehensive development achievements that have been realised in line with the sustainable development, Egypt Vision 2030, as well as the goals of Africa’s Agenda 2063.
Shereferred, for instance, to the National Project for the Development of Egyptian Villages as part of the “Decent Life” presidential initiative.
This project has unified the efforts of the government and civil society to raise living conditions of the countryside communities, the minister said.
For his part, Badheebsaid they were looking forward to co-operation with Egypt for qualifying cadres, referring to the country’s success in development.
