In a demonstration of solidarity and shared commitment to counter terrorism, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday expressed Egypt’s heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of a recent terrorist attack targeting Indian tourists in Kashmir.

During a phone call with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Sisi condemned all forms of terrorism, reaffirming Egypt’s unwavering stance against extremist violence in any guise, according to Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El Shennawi.

President Sisi emphasized Egypt’s comprehensive strategy in addressing terrorism and extremist ideologies—an approach rooted in both security measures and long-term developmental and ideological reforms.

Prime Minister Modi expressed his appreciation for President Sisi’s outreach and supportive gesture, describing it as a reflection of the enduring and deep-rooted relationship between the two nations.

The two leaders also discussed the importance of transforming the strategic partnership between Egypt and India into actionable cooperation across various sectors. Both sides agreed on the need to intensify high-level engagements to unlock new avenues for collaboration that serve the mutual interests of their peoples and contribute to regional and global stability.

Spokesman El Shennawi noted that the conversation reaffirmed the shared vision of both countries to pursue joint initiatives that promote peace, progress, and prosperity.
