Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi held a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed following Iranian attacks that targeted the territory of the United Arab Emirates and several other Arab countries, Egypt’s presidency said.
Presidential spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El‑Shennawy said El‑Sisi affirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with the UAE and other countries whose territory was attacked, and reiterated Cairo’s categorical rejection of any violation of Arab states’ sovereignty or any threat to their security and stability.
El‑Sisi warned that such actions pose a serious threat to regional security and could trigger wider instability that harms the region’s states and peoples, according to the statement.
He also stressed Egypt’s longstanding position that the current crisis should be addressed through dialogue and diplomacy, arguing that military solutions would serve no party and risk plunging the region into a cycle of violence, instability and bloodshed.
For his part, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed appreciation for Egypt’s supportive stance toward the UAE’s security and stability and praised the deep fraternal ties between the two countries and their peoples, the statement added.
